Kids Room
Finally finished!
My rush for getting it done so quickly (I mean, I am only 13 weeks pregnant, and we aren't moving Jacoby in until probably December sometime) was my studying! lol! I knew if I didn't have it done before we started "back to school" I would want to be playing with ideas and pinterest trying to figure out how to set up the room. Now it's done and I have no excuse but to study :) Well, at least I can't use that as an excuse!
This also gives Kenz plenty of time to really understand what's going to happen in a few months! Her room is about to be shared with her little brother-eek!! I'm hoping with all the "newness" it will help make it more bearable!

| Her blanket was not so easy, had to end up sewing it. Not my favorite thing to do, but I think it turned out cute. |

First Day of School
First day of school for us in the Jordan Household! Kenzie is starting a "at home prek" type thing. I've got lots of fun ideas for letters, numbers, themes, crafts-mostly thanks to pinterest! Also thanks to all the Circle resources I got while teaching the 3 yr old classroom at FBC. The girl is really smart! Can match up all the letters with their lowercase version, has numbers 1-10 down (in spanish as well) and is talking some math sentences out with me, "we have two plates out, we need one more for preslee, then we'll have three plates." She's doing really well with tracing letters in her book, excited to see her pick up writing more of them on her own. She does like writing her M right now. Kenz is also doing gymnastics, and starting AWANAS this year.
Wes started back to school today-one last really hard semester of undergrad work before he gets to apply for OT school. After all his shadowing, he has decided he likes OT much more than PA and probably wont even apply for PA school anymore, just OT.
I also started back today with my personal trainer certification studies-my goal is to take the test this coming December, so as soon as the kids go down for nap, I have my study stuff out and getting as much done as possible. Then at night it will be study sessions for me and wes! I've decided to join a MOPS group this year-give me a chance to get out during the day and the kids some more play time with others, I'm pretty excited about it. Oh yeah, and I'm still training for my half marathon coming up in November!!
Jacoby has Preslee back to play with this semester. Its amazing the difference a year can make, compared to when she started last year, and the two weren't even holding their own heads up or rolling over. Now they're running around, eating all kinds of snacks and telling me no! :)
And that's about it for us-great kids, crazy schedules, lots of studying, Wes still working nights at the hospital, half marathon, crazy busy life for us right now-but I love it!

1276.27 Miles
Yes. 1276.27 miles. That's how many I drove within 9 days.
First part of the trip was by myself. I am on the Alumni Council for Sigma Phi Lambda this year-very excited about it! And I got to attend the All Chapter Officer Retreat! Half the trip, I drove just enjoying the peace and quiet!! No radio, no phone, no kids in the backseat, was very very peaceful! The retreat was a lot of fun too-was ready to get home and see my family again though!!
So came back Sunday afternoon, then headed out again first thing Monday morning at 6 am. My first destination:
Roundrock, TX for duvet covers. The Ikea in Frisco said online (and on the phone when I spoke to someone) that they did not have the duvet covers I wanted for the kids new room. So headed to this Ikea first thing to make sure I got the covers. I did really good too! Told myself I wasnt going to do any other shopping, just go in, get covers, and leave. And I did exactly that! (Kids room by the way is looking really cute-I'm very happy with it! Only missing one more part-finishing up Jacoby's name-and then I'll be posting pictures.)
Next stop was my grandparents in Lakeway, TX. Also got to see my dad, AJ came by twice to see his niece and nephew, two uncles, an aunt, and cousins! Lots of family Kenz kept saying! Jacoby was being super cute and was playing with my granddad, it was so great to see-did I get any pictures of it, no. My phone was downstairs, and I just didn't think about getting it. Did get a video of Rachel playing with the kids the next day though:
Next stop was breakfast at Ihop in Temple, TX with Michelle and her daughter Maddie. It was really good to see them!! Not so great of service at that location though, poor Kenz never got her oatmeal and had to suffer with bits of my sausage and Jacoby's hashbrowns-she survived!
Then we went on to Whitney, TX to see Ludy and PaC. Did get some good pictures there:
From there we went on to Little Elm to see my mom. Got to finish up my shopping at Ikea. And guess who had stacks of my duvet covers in the store, even after checking just 2 days before. They told me they didn't have any in the store, the warehouse was empty, and they had no information on the item-whatever. They were, however, out of the comforter that I wanted, that the Roundrock location did have-that I purposely walked past so I wouldnt spend to much time in the store. Oh well. Pictures from Little Elm:
And, then it was on to Grand Prairie to see Uncle Jimmy, Papaw and Mamaw. Cousins Emily and Chole were there they whole time so Kenz got some good play time in! And she also got to play with the Jordan cousins too!!
It was a long trip, we missed Wes like crazy-but it was so good to see so much family! My children are so blessed to have such a big family!!

31, 30, and 29 weeks to go!
Have a few weeks to catch up on!
We missed being at home at 30 weeks to go thanks to our road trip, so we took it today when we cut the 29 week chain down.

I am really excited to see how this chain has worked out for Kenzie-she totally gets it!! Knows she has one chain to cut every week, and that it takes a whole week before she can cut another one. And that Baby Jordan wont be here til we get to the last chain. She gets it so much, that she got onto me tonight for cutting down two chains, telling me I had to wait and be patient, that we only cut down one chain at a time.
I'm of course already showing, pretty well, but I have to wait for Wes to take the picture for me from now on. There's just no good spot to set up the camera in the room, gets some really really bad angles on this prego lady!!
